freisicht frames can be adjusted to the individual facial geometry by warming them with a heater. The heated wood reaches a certain doughiness, can now be deformed and stiffens again as soon as it cools down.
For risk-free glazing, the locking block is simply opened with a slotted screwdriver. Now the glasses are inserted and the screws tightened again. The frame closes while the fine gap is almost invisible.
Our frames are made in Freising, Germany, in careful handicraft combined with high-tech know-how. They are made from local wood species. By traditional techniques and thanks to the special wood characteristics the frames receive a unique and organic design – rounded edges, detail depths, grain and patina make each piece unique.
The wood surface has been treated so that simple soiling is easy to clean and the glasses are protected from sweat and humidity. Our oak wooden cases also offer excellent protection for the noble frames. These were manufactured in the „Steinhöringer workshops for people with disabilities“ at the highest quality standards.
